Maintenance and repair for companies

Maintenance and repair are inevitable costs. They are often unexpected, but always inconvenient. With our rental- and leasing formula there's no need to worry about these things.
De Fietsambassade Gent provides a maintenance contract with every bicycle rental or lease. Maintenance can be done in the company and during working hours, which makes it easy for employees.

Every six months De Fietsambassade Gent provides a standard maintenance:  

• checking and inflating the tires,
• check and adjustment of ball bearing, wheel axles, crankshaft, lights, handle bar, brakes, gears and spokes,
• lubrication of chain, lock and movable parts,
• cleaning of the bicycle,
• replacement of parts worn in normal use: inner tubes and tyres, brake pads and cables, chain and freewheel, pedals, bell, gear parts.

Other replacements are not included in the standard maintenance contract. 

You can make use of our online form for the planning of the half-yearly maintenance in your company .

Would you, as an employer, want our bicycle maintenance to take place at your company? That can be arranged. We would like to ask you to provide a space with the following requirements:

• Covered and closed,
• readily accessible,
• provided with electricity and sufficient lighting,
• Preferably also heated in winter.

De Fietsambassade Gent will review this space in advance. All costs for providing the workplace are at the expense of the employer.
Your employees can of course also make use of one of our bicycle points for the maintenance of their bicycle.

At least 2 working days before the scheduled date of the maintenance, we'll inform you of the precise time at which the maintenance will take place. We make a service voucher for each repair or maintenance and let the user or the renter sign this after the work has been completed.

If the repair can't be performed immediately, De Fietsambassade Gent provides a replacement bicycle. This ensures that you never go without a bicycle. 

De Fietsambassade Gent offers you the possibility to insure your company bicycle park against theft. This allows you and your employees to make use of your bicycles without any care. For more information, please contact info.defietsambassade@stad.gent.

De Fietsambassade Gent provides, in the package for electric bicycles, a mobile breakdown service. This breakdown service is a standard part of the leasing- or rental formula.
In case of bicycle trouble, the cyclist notifies the roadside assistance company, which will then quickly and safely return the cyclist home. They'll then bring the bicycle to a repair point of De Fietsambassade Gent for repair.
