As part of De Fietsambassade Gent there is a Bicycle Depot. All retrieved bicycles are kept there and it’s also the main workplace for a number of employees who are responsible for maintaining bicycle parking facilities and for clearing bicycle racks. You can also have your bicycle registered at the depot.
Note: bicycles that are cleared at the underground bicycle parking Gent Sint-Pieters, are stored by the company Apcoa, which is in charge of the management, commissioned by the NMBS. You can contact Apcoa at 0473 33 89 11.
If your bicycle was stolen or cleared, first visit www.gevondenfietsen.be. Through a simple search function, you can find out in the online photo database whether your bicycle was found. During the opening hours, you can also come and look for your bicycle at the Bicycle depot itself. Be sure to bring your bicycle key, proof of purchase or other proof of ownership.
The uncollected bicycles will become the property of the city after a 3 month retention period. Bicycle wrecks are not preserved.
