Renting or extending a student bike

With a student bike from De Fietsambassade, you’re always mobile in Ghent — sustainable, affordable, and worry-free. For as little as € 7 per month*, you can ride around on a high-quality and reliable two-wheeler.

*With an annual contract for a bike with gears.

1. Go to the webshop
2. Select a type of bike (city, e-bike basic, e-bike comfort)
3. Choose your rental period (1 - 12 months)
4. Pay online
5. Pick up your bike at Bike point Kattenberg at the agreed time.

• Deposit: € 120 for a city bike, € 240 for an e-bike
• Theft coverage: € 10 for a city bike for less than 3 months and € 12 for 3 months or more, € 30 for an e-bike for less than 3 months and € 50 for 3 months or more

Bikes without gears are no longer available and cannot be renewed. If your contract for a bike without gears expires, we kindly ask you to return the bike on time.

• Wear-and-tear issues are repaired free of charge.

How do you get your bike repaired?

1. Visit Fietspunt Kattenberg during opening hours without an appointment.
2. We’ll repair your bike within the hour so you can get back on the road immediately.

Want to have your own, non-rented bike repaired? Higher education students receive a 10% discount on repairs at Bike point Dampoort, Bike point Onder De Krook, or Bike point Gent Sint-Pieters. Fietspunt Kattenberg is exclusively for rented bikes from De Fietsambassade.
